New grant paying up to 50% of safety training cost for IL small manufacturers

Business Training Center logoThanks to a new grant, local Illinois-based small manufacturers can schedule Black Hawk College safety trainings at their facilities at a reduced rate.

The Business Training Center at Black Hawk College recently received workforce training grant funds to offset the cost of safety training for local Illinois-based small manufacturers.

The grant will pay for up to 50% of safety trainings while funds last. The availability of these funds is limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. The grant cycle ends March 31, 2025.

Training topics include but are not limited to:

  • Safety Audits
  • 10-Hour General Industry
  • 30-Hour OSHA
  • First Aid/CPR
  • Fall Protection
  • Hazwoper and Hazwoper Refresher
  • Fork Truck
  • Confined Space
