Students can apply MTI credits to BHC degree

Black Hawk College is partnering with Midwest Technical Institute (MTI) to benefit students and the community and provide skilled employees that local employers need.

MTI students who have completed select certificates can apply those credits to a Health Information Management (HIM) or General Occupational and Technical Studies (GOTS) Associate in Applied Science degree at Black Hawk College.

Students are eligible for the partnership benefits if they graduated from MTI since October 2018 with any of these MTI certificates:

  • Dental Assisting
  • Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
  • Journeyman Welder
  • Journeyman Welder II
  • Medical Assisting
  • Medical Coding
  • Pharmacy Technician

MTI is a trade school that was founded in 1995 in Lincoln, IL, and now has three locations in Illinois and one in Missouri. The MTI Moline campus was established in 2011.
