Celebrate National Transfer Student Week 2020

Celebrate National Transfer Student Week with us Oct. 19-23, 2020. More than a dozen virtual transfer-focused events are set for the week.

Advising staff will do daily drawings for two $75 Visa gift cards for attendees, with winners receiving their prizes in the mail the next week.

Columbia College Chicago Visit
Learn about creative careers and Columbia’s new Guaranteed Admission program for BHC students from noon to 3 p.m.

Virtual presentation by BHC Advising from 1-2 p.m.

TRIO Program – Services for transfer students
Learn about supportive services for transferring BHC students during this virtual drop-in event from 2-4 p.m. A virtual TRIO presentation is available on-demand all day.

St. Ambrose University Visit

Explore BHC Day – Quad-Cities Campus
Join Gabriella Hurtado and Mikael Gibson from BHC Admissions for a virtual presentation from 1-1:30 p.m.

Fall Visit Day – East Campus
Join Samantha Rux from BHC Admissions for a virtual visit focused on agriculture and equine programs from 9 a.m. to noon or virtual drop-in hours from 1-3 p.m.

Starting at Black Hawk College

Black Hawk College’s offerings allow students to complete the first half of their bachelor’s degrees at an affordable price.

Students can finish general education and foundation courses at Black Hawk College before transferring to a four-year college ready to go.

The National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students (NISTS) organizes National Transfer Student Week annually. The purpose of the week is to celebrate transfer students and the professionals who support them on their journeys.
