The Black Hawk College women’s basketball team wrapped up a successful 2019-20 season with several players and their coach winning awards.

In only his second year at Black Hawk College, Logan Frye was named the Arrowhead Conference Coach of the Year.

In 2019, the Braves ended their season 2-22. For 2020, the team was 22-11, Region IV runners-up and Arrowhead Conference champs, the Braves’ first conference championship since 2003.

“I couldn’t be more proud of their effort,” Frye said. “This is a team that never backed down to any challenge this season and continued to rise to the occasion.”
