Students collect $1,700 in care package items for soldiers

4 people holding food & candy donationsThe Black Hawk College Student Veterans of America recently coordinated a very successful care packages donation drive at the Quad-Cities Campus.

The students collected an estimated $1,700 worth of items such as candy, granola bars, drink mixes and jerky.

The donations from BHC employees, students and the community were given to the USO of Illinois. They filled more than 50 care packages for troops serving overseas.
