New evening GED® class in downtown Kewanee

Black Hawk College offers Adult Education GED and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes at the college’s Community Education Center in downtown Kewanee at no cost to students who qualify.

In addition to daytime classes, a new evening GED class will start Aug. 20.

Students first must register and take a test to determine their reading and math levels. Registration is during the first two days of class.

For GED classes, students can choose from:

  • Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to noon beginning Aug. 19
  • Tuesday-Thursday from 5:30-8 p.m. beginning Aug. 20

ESL classes will meet Monday-Thursday from 6-8:30 p.m. beginning Aug. 19.
