East Foundation inducting Donna Irvin into Wall of Fame

woman wearing cowboy hat standing with horseOn Saturday, Sept. 7, Black Hawk College professor emerita Donna Irvin will be inducted into the Black Hawk College East Foundation Wall of Fame at a ceremony at Jumer’s Casino & Hotel in Rock Island, IL.

The 2019 Wall of Fame Banquet & Ceremony will begin with a social hour at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and program at 7 p.m.

Registration is $35 per person through Thursday, Aug. 22 and $45 per person as of Friday, Aug. 23. A portion of the registration will go toward the new, endowed Donna Irvin Equine Scholarship.

About Donna Irvin

During her 27 years as faculty member and equestrian coach, Donna and her colleagues grew the equine program from seven students and 30 horse stalls in 1990, to 60 students and 100 horse stalls in the most recent expansion completed this year.

Donna started the BHC equestrian team in 1998, after the college joined the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association, eventually growing her competitive teams to 55 students with 16 Regional Championships, three Semifinal Championships, and more than 25 National and Reserve National riders.
