Soil Judging Team takes 1st place in Wisconsin

8 men & women wearing winter clothing standing in a grassy fieldCongratulations to the Black Hawk College Soil Judging Team for winning 1st place at the American Society of Agronomy (ASA) 2018 Region 3 Collegiate Soils Contest in Prairie du Chien, WI.

The competition included four, two-year schools from Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin.

All eight BHC team members placed in the Top 10 individually as well.

They are:

  • Cole Wright of Toulon, IL – 1st
  • Elizabeth Schoenlein of Portland, IN – 3rd
  • Kayla Humphres of Williamsville IL – 4th
  • Jake Fell of Galesburg, IL – 5th
  • Cole Clinton of Lake Village, IN – 6th
  • Brendon Shaw of Annawan, IL – 7th
  • Makenzie Snyder of Toulon, IL – 8th
  • Kyle Hunter of LaMoille, IL – 10th
