Black Hawk College honors 28 exceptional QC students

white gift bag with yellow ribbon & congratulations noteBlack Hawk College recently celebrated the accomplishments of 28 outstanding Quad-Cities students at the 2018 Student Commitment to Excellence Award ceremony.

The annual awards honor students at the college’s Quad-Cities sites who have shown outstanding commitment to excellence in one or more areas. The awards recognize students who have gone the extra mile to be successful. BHC employees may nominate one student per year.

The 2018 Student Commitment to Excellence Award recipients are:

  • Colona – Christine Castaneda
  • East Moline – Duria Ahmed, Mawuto Amegan, Sarah Anderson, Roukeiatou Bouraima Ourou, Alicia Canales, Delmis Carranza, Austin Griffin, Dawn Hemphill, Titi Mushimata, Akouvi Nounkounon, Emilie Panu and Ishag Sharafaldin
  • Galva – Amanda Smith
  • Geneseo – Paul Schraeder
  • Moline – Babatounde Chitou, Caroline Davis, Kesia Frometa, Brenda Guzman, Emma Looney-Bertram and Sarah Stock
  • Rock Island – Thamer Alobaidi, Alexa Chovance, Ning Cing, Veronica Johnson, Kalthoum Kadfour and Alma Lievanos
