BHC student named bronze scholar, wins $1,000 scholarship

Dylan Freeman BHC Coca-Cola scholar 2018Black Hawk College Quad-Cities Campus student Dylan Freeman of Moline has been named a 2018 Coca-Cola Academic Team Bronze Scholar and will receive a $1,000 scholarship.

The program recognizes 50 gold, 50 silver and 50 bronze scholars with nearly $200,000 in scholarships annually. Selection as a bronze scholar was based on scores earned in the All-USA Academic Team competition, for which more than 2,000 applications were received this year.

Students are nominated by their college administrators. Selection is based on academic achievement, leadership and engagement in college and community service.

This program is sponsored by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation and administered by Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
