Congratulations to highway construction grads

Black Hawk College congratulates the recent graduates of the Highway Construction Careers Training Program (HCCTP).

In front, from left to right, are Jason Johnson of Abingdon, Nicolas Gallarzo of East Moline, Nikki Carr of Rock Island, David Deemer of Rock Island, Ariel Singleton of Rock Island, and Kendrick Freeman of Silvis.

In back, from left to right, are Keith Pohlman of Moline, Shawn Hearn of Rock Island, Devon Terrell of Davenport, Peter Stumpf of Davenport, and Nekai Gay of Rock Island.

Three students had perfect attendance for the 13-week program – Nicolas Gallarzo, Jason Johnson and Keith Pohlman.

The 450-hour program aims to increase the number of minorities, women and disadvantaged individuals working on Illinois Department of Transportation highway construction projects. There is no cost to participants who are accepted into the program.
