The Black Hawk College men’s golf team recently concluded a very successful season by winning its 32nd Arrowhead Conference Championship.
Seven players earned All-Conference honors. Arrowhead Conference qualifies 12 All-Conference awards.
The Black Hawk College All-Conference golfers are:
- Medalist – Jake Beck (Ankeny IA Centennial High School)
- 2nd Place – Austin Jump (Geneseo IL High School)
- Tied for 3rd Place – Dennis Reedy (Byron IL High School) and Ryan Hurley (Sterling IL High School)
- 7th Place – D.J. Bell (Assumption Davenport IA High School)
- 8th Place – Lake Koenig (Durant IA High School)
- Tied for 9th Place – Trafton Otting (Rockridge IL High School)
Also competing for Black Hawk College were Connor Carroll (Rockridge IL High School), Keil Huber (Bettendorf IA High School) and Nathan Lauritzen (Geneseo IL High School).
During the Fall 2016 season, the team won the Region IV Championship. Four BHC golfers placed in the top 15 and will compete May 21-26 at the 2017 NJCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championship in Mesa, AZ:
- Region IV medalist – Austin Jump
- 5th place – Lake Koenig
- 9th place – Dennis Reedy
- 10th place – Jake Beck
The fifth member of Black Hawk College’s NJCAA tournament-qualifying team is Ryan Hurley.
