BHC Sophomore Livestock Judging Team wins 3rd place at National Barrow Show

Congratulations to the Black Hawk College Sophomore Livestock Judging Team for winning 3rd Place Team Overall at the 2016 National Barrow Show Judging Contest in Austin, MN.

The team finished only five points behind the second place team and 27 points ahead of the fourth place team.

The sophomore team members who competed were Easton Beard of Oak Run, IL; Kiley Elder of Pleasantville, IA; Hunter Langholff of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; Hannah Lauffenburger of Queen Creek, AZ; Katie Miller of Cambridge, IL; Blake Roselieb of Annawan, IL; Jordyn Sills of Poneto, IN; Lucas Stumpf of Columbia, IL; Kip Wallace of Emerald, WI; and Luke Wechter of Ligonier, IN. The alternates were Kagney Collins of Flanagan, IL; Cody Dawson of Rushville, IN; Wyatt Orr of Mediapolis, IA; and Austin Stoner of Taneytown, MD.

The team is coached by Dan Hoge and Tyler Gradert and is located at the Black Hawk College East Campus near Kewanee, IL.

  • Luke Wechter – 7th Place Individual Overall and tied 5th Place Reasons
  • Blake Roselieb – 8th Place Individual Overall
  • Kip Wallace – 9th Place Individual Overall
