BHC congratulates 2014 GED, high school grads

Black Hawk College celebrated the accomplishments of more than 180 students June 12 at the annual GED and High School Graduation Celebration.

The event recognized Adult Education and Optional Education students from across the college district who completed all GED or high school graduation requirements during the 2013-14 school year.

Approximately 149 students completed their GED and 38 high school students who attended the BHC Optional Education program received their diplomas from their home high schools.

A new session of GED and Optional Education classes at Black Hawk College begins in August. Most classes start Monday, Aug. 11.

GED classes are available at no cost to the student. Black Hawk College GED classes are conducted in a variety of locations including churches, businesses, schools, libraries and housing projects. Call or visit one of the learning sites listed below for more information.
