Currently on display in the ArtSpace Gallery in Building 4 at the Quad-Cities Campus is artwork from two Fall 2013 art classes.
Students in Tami Schmidt’s Drawing and Drawing Theory ART121 class had six hours to create a collaborative piece using Surrealism and linear perspective. They created a 4-foot-by-8-foot mural on core paper.
Special thanks to Gerry Chretian at Miller Container for donating the end-run core paper.
Students in Steve Bank’s Life Drawing ART 201 have a variety of pieces in the exhibit, including hand-built clay figures, pencil drawings and skeletons made of cereal, marshmallows, pasta, wood, pipe cleaners, straws, tape, styrofoam, newspaper and other items.
