Congrats BHC golf team!

The Black Hawk College men’s golf team finished fifth in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II National Tournament May 21-24 in Scottsboro, Ala. The tournament was at Goose Pond Colony, a par 72 course.

The fifth place finish was the highest in school history. The Braves’ previous highest finish was seventh place in 1998.

This was the 10th consecutive year that the BHC golf team has competed in the NJCAA tournament.

This also was the first time the college has had family members earn All-American honors in any sport:

  • 2013 – Matt Schlueter – 69, 77, 71 and 76 for a 293
  • 2011 – Ryan Schlueter – 73, 74, 73 and 75 for a 295

Both are Davenport Central High School grads.
