Andrew Russell decided to attend Black Hawk College after hearing wonderful things about the college’s instructors. Even though he is an Iowa resident, he could not pass up the opportunity to take classes with such highly esteemed teachers. Andrew says he does not regret his choice. When he is finished at BHC, he plans to transfer to the University of Iowa to pursue a double major in German and philosophy. He would like to continue on through graduate school and work his way up to become a professor.
Outside of the classroom, Andrew is involved in the Philosophy Club and the Passport to Leadership program. He enjoys the Philosophy Club because it gives him the chance to interact with fellow philosophy enthusiasts and try to promote philosophy to those who may not be aware of what makes it so interesting. He enjoys the Passport to Leadership program because he is learning new skills that are necessary for him to achieve his goals. He hopes to participate in more clubs and activities that BHC has to offer before graduating in May.
