BHC artists win awards in Student Art Exhibition

Six Black Hawk College students recently were honored for their artistic talent in the annual Student Art Exhibition.

The juried competition garnered 112 entries. Juror Jacki Olson selected 48 pieces for the show. Angela Husar of Davenport (pictured) won first place with an acrylic painting, “Untitled.”

The other winners are:

  • Second place – Sherry Nees of Moline
  • Third place – Amanda Pohlman of Milan
  • Honorable mention – Emma Harmon of Davenport, John Stitt of Moline and Shane Hansen of Moline

The exhibit is on display through Friday, May 10, 2013, in the ArtSpace Gallery on the first floor of Building 4 at the Quad-Cities Campus, 6600 34th Ave., Moline.
