The Villas at Black Hawk College, LLC broke ground on a private student housing development Tuesday, March 19, 2013. The site is located on the northeast corner of Lot 4.
The Villas are a private development consisting of 120 beds specifically designed to serve Black Hawk College students. The Villas will consist of student-centric living quarters with common indoor and outdoor amenities. The common indoor area will consist of the manager’s office, mailboxes, social room / recreation center, and a 24-hour fitness center along with study rooms and state-of-the-art laundry facilities. The outdoor common area will consist of a patio for social and recreational use, along with a variety of outdoor entertainment amenities. Additional services include academic and social programming, shipping and receiving, and 24-hour maintenance. The Villas will be built on land owned by the Black Hawk College Foundation.

The Bluffstone management team will be directly involved with the Black Hawk College project every step of the way, including a detailed marketing and leasing campaign that is currently underway. Construction will be complete by mid-summer and is slated to be ready for students to occupy by the fall 2013 school year. “We’re very excited to be able to offer our unique product to the students of Black Hawk College, and are looking forward to a mutually beneficial, long-term relationship with faculty and staff.” said Tim Baldwin, Managing Partner of Bluffstone.
The Villas at Black Hawk College are a wholly owned subsidiary of Bluffstone, LLC. Bluffstone currently owns and manages over 2,000 beds on nine college campuses.
