BHC students elect Kylee Fox new student trustee

Kylee Fox of Moline recently was elected by her fellow students to be the student representative on the Black Hawk College Board of Trustees for 2012-13.

She attended Fenton High School in Bensenville, Ill., for two years then transferred to American Home School to finish her high school diploma. She began at Black Hawk College in January 2010 and has completed 32 credit hours toward her associate degree.

Fox was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges, and Sigma Kappa Delta, the English honor society for two-year colleges.

She is the editor-in-chief of the Chieftain, the Black Hawk College student newspaper. After earning her associate degree, she plans to transfer to a four-year school to pursue a bachelor’s degree. Her career goal is to write for Rolling Stone magazine.
