Every employee of Black Hawk College may nominate one student per year for the Student Commitment to Excellence Award. The student must attend classes (full-time or part-time) on the Quad-Cities Campus or at one of the Quad-Cities sites and must have shown outstanding performance in some area. This need not be academic, athletic, or artistic (the most common categories in which student awards are given). Many of our previous honorees were individuals who have overcome substantial obstacles in order to pursue their education. Many are involved in community service, whether at the college or in the wider community. Many have yet other accomplishments. There are no set categories for this award.
To nominate a student, please download and submit the Student Commitment to Excellence Award Nomination Form to any of the following committee members:
