Student Government Association
The Student Government Association (SGA) is the officially recognized student governance body for Black Hawk College. It is composed of four executive officers and the opportunity for any BHC student to become an SGA member. Executive officers are nominated and elected by the student body in the spring; and members can join in the fall and/or spring.

SGA enhances the quality of college life for BHC students, governs student organizations, and provides activities and leadership opportunities on campus.
If you are interested in becoming a student leader, you will have the opportunity to gain leadership skills, improve your resume and university application, leave your legacy on BHC, and attend leadership conferences. You also may attend monthly meetings and assist at SGA-sponsored events.
