Prairie Pointe Apartments
Affordable, high quality supervised apartment living is available at the East Campus of Black Hawk College. The fully furnished apartments provide students with clean, safe, comfortable housing within walking distance of classes. The facility is owned and operated by the Black Hawk College – East Foundation.
Apartments are available to accommodate either two or four students. The four-student design includes two bedrooms with beds that may be bunked or non-bunked and a vanity in each bedroom. The two-student apartments feature private bedrooms for each resident. All apartments include a full kitchen, complete with sink, stove, and full size refrigerator, a completely furnished living room, a bathroom with shower and closets. All apartments are air conditioned, have satellite TV and wireless internet service provided.

Students Only (Full Time)
Students may lease an apartment at Prairie Pointe only if they are enrolled as full time students for 12 or more semester hours during the Fall and Spring semesters or 6 semester hours in the Summer. Verification of enrollment at Black Hawk College is required.
Services
Laundry facilities, vending machines, mail services and the Prairie Pointe building superintendent’s office are all located in the adjacent service building. Food service is also available at the campus Monday through Thursday along with a full array of vending machines.
Recreation
Students living in Prairie Pointe have access to the campus Fitness Center, Library, and Computer Center as well as easy access to activities conducted at the campus throughout the year.
Parking and Access
Parking is available for residents of Prairie Pointe immediately adjacent to the apartments.
Safety and Security
The apartments and parking lots are well lighted. Campus Public Safety officers are on duty and on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The apartments are equipped with a sprinkler system as well as smoke and CO detectors.
Rental Information
Several different lease arrangements and payment plans are available. Rental rates include water, sewer and trash as well as satellite television and wireless internet service. Residents must pay for telephone service separately. A security deposit is required in addition to the rental payment. Current rental rates can be accessed through the link provided. Application forms may be printed out, completed and sent along with the application fee to the Prairie Pointe Building Superintendent at the address below.
