Eight laptop computers are available for loan in Black Hawk College, East Campus LRC. The laptops were provided, in part, through a grant awarded by the Illinois State Library (ISL), a Division of the Office of Secretary of State, using funds provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), under the federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA). The laptops may be borrowed by students enrolled at Black Hawk College with library accounts in good standing for use for use in the library, lower level lounge or classrooms. The laptops connect to the College’s wireless network and come equipped with standard software (including Microsoft Office).
