Tom was hired June 2011, as a part time police officer for Black Hawk College Moline campus. Tom started his police career in 1985 as a part- time officer for Cambridge Police Department. In June of 1988, Tom was hired as a correctional officer with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office. In January of 1991, he was promoted to patrol deputy and assigned to the Henry/Mercer County Task Force doing undercover drug investigations until 1996. He was assigned to the Sheriff’s Office drug unit for three years and then assigned to Henry County patrol. In 2007, Tom was hired by the Hampton Police Department where he currently serves as Sergeant.
