Aquatic Exercise Instructors guide participants to perform planned specific movements in the water, generally in an upright position. The water’s buffering ability allows this type of exercise to provide a protective cushioning that minimizes impact compared to land based exercise. Therefore, participants who might avoid other types of exercise due to impact effects on their joints can comfortably perform aquatic exercise to help them live a healthier lifestyle.
