Electronic Application Now Available!


Black Hawk College now has a fully electronic online application! It is very easy and will take you approximately 10 minutes to complete. If you complete the application online, you will be able to register in approximately *two business days! (Registration can be completed during Open Enrollment and Last Minute Enrollment.

After two business days have passed,

1. Go to myblackhawk.bhc.edu
2. Click on link “Having problems logging in? Click here.”
3. Click on link “What’s my username? Click here.”
4. Click “Get My ID” button.
   You will receive your BHC student ID# (starts with 900) and username.
5. Initial password is your birth date (MMDDYY) or last 6 digits of BHC student ID#.
6. Answer the 7 secret questions – one word lower case answers are best.

Additional Information:

• Be sure to answer the 7 secret questions with one word, lower case answers
• If you have not done this or have typed in gibberish, go back and correct by
  • logging into myBlackHawk
  • Click on My Account
    • (next to your name on the Home page)
  • Click on Change Security Questions and Answers
• If you get locked out of your account
  • Wait 15 minute before retrying – the system will reset itself
  • If you do not remember your password - use the Forgot your Password link to reset
  • Even if the system has locked you out, you can still reset your own password... however, the new password will not allow access for 15 minutes

To comply with several federal, state, and Black Hawk College policies, certain pieces of information are required in order to submit the online application. Social Security Number and date of birth are required to be entered on the online application. If you do not wish to provide us your social security number (or don’t have one) and date of birth, please feel free to complete one of the downloadable versions of the application below.

The paper application is still available but may take considerably longer for us to process than will the online application. If you still wish to submit a paper application, please click the link below and print and complete the pdf file. Note that you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open this document.
