Although women have increased the amount earned per hour in relation to men in the past ten years, women in 2001 still earn only 76 cents for every dollar of men's earnings.

Add to the above list any occupation or field of work, including careers in computer science, technology, and any emerging high-skill occupations, for which individuals from one gender comprise less than 25% of the individuals employed in each such occupation. Women are also being recruited for such fields as welders, plumbers, pipe-fitters, carpenters, electricians, and other careers not listed above.
