  • Connect with and recruit NTO learners by increasing gender equity awareness, providing diverse educational programs and support.
  • Connect with the business community by providing leadership in gender representation and equity across all occupations.
  • Connect internally to educate and demonstrate gender equity.

Gender Equity provides all persons with the full range of opportunities and benefits no matter their gender.

Other related terms:
  • Gender Bias: behaviors that result when we stereotype people on the basis of their gender.
  • Gender Discrimination: any action that limits or prohibits equal opportunities, privileges or rewards to people because of their gender.
  • Gender Role Stereotyping: assuming that men and women have certain interests, abilities, values, and characteristics based upon their gender.
