How Can I Volunteer?
Volunteers are needed to help adults needing assistance in achieving functional skills in reading, spelling, writing, arithmetic or English as a Second Language. The Literacy is For Everyone Program (LIFE) was created to provide a second chance to adults who have not yet attained their desired or needed literacy level.

Training
LIFE provides training sessions and then matches tutors with students based upon available times, tutoring site locations, and learning/teaching styles.

Sites
Over 100 sites including libraries, churches, and community centers, have been established in the various communities within Black Hawk College’s Service area.
