Dates This study abroad program is offered summer, fall, and spring semesters. A four-week summer program (May 29 - July 2) is an option. Fall semesters are September – December; Spring semesters are January – May.
Prerequisites GPA 2.5/4.0, 2 BHC faculty recommendations Completion of 30 semester credits (application should be made prior to having 30 hours), proof of health insurance

Academic Courses Available Spanish courses at all levels are offered at the University of Seville and the International College of Seville. Many courses are also offered in English, and some courses are offered in both English and Spanish. Students usually enroll for 15-18 credits a semester. Courses available in international business, economics, and a few social science electives.
Housing Housing is in dorms or with host families. Food is based on housing selection. Laundry facilities are included with host family housing.
Program Fee $4,965 plus $250 Black Hawk College study abroad fee

Included in the Program Fee International tuition; airport reception; two-day orientation; tutorial assistance, on-site surveillance and security; free internet access; free cell phone usage; health insurance; cultural and political field trips, and many appealing social events.
Not Included in Program Fee Round-trip airfare (Approximately $1,000); Room and Board ($2,400 + $100 deposit for fall; $2,620 + $100 deposit for spring); optional $200 field trip package 3 one-day trips and 1 weekend trip; passport fees; personal expenditures
Comment BHC's study abroad program in Seville, Spain, is highly recommended for students in all majors. This program has been available for many years and consistently receives quite positive student feedback.
This is an excellent program that is new to Black Hawk College. Students study Spanish in Spain or in Mexico. A visa is required for the semester-length program, and it is likely to consume four weeks before receiving it. Visas are not required in the summer program.
