Dates
The study abroad program in China is for summer semester 2008, May 16 through June 16.

Prerequisites
GPA 2.75/4.0, 2 BHC faculty recommendations
Completion of 30 semester credits
Proof of health insurance

Application Deadline
March, 2008, but applications may be accepted until April if vacancies exist.

Academic Courses Available
Students complete 6 or 7 semester hours. Students may study either the French or the Arabic language for 4 credits, and 3 credits are from the Arabic or French Culture and Civilization class.

Housing
Housing is on campus. Students are provided the morning and evening meals. Laundry services are included in the housing fee.

Program Fee
Approximately $3,352, but variances may exist due to currency fluctuations; $250 Black Hawk College study abroad fee.

Payment Plan
The program fee will be paid prior to departure in three payments.

Included in the Program Fee
Round-trip airfare from Chicago; housing; breakfast and lunch; international tuition and fees, attractive field trips, library access; orientation; textbooks for the French or Arabic language course; ground transportation and ferry across the Strait of Gibraltar; 2 nights in Costa del Sol in Spain (double occupancy)

Not Included in Program Fee
Passport fees; optional field trips; International Student Identification Card; Personal expenditures; telephone calls;

Comment
This study abroad program, which is coordinated by Joliet Junior College, is a cost-effective opportunity to experience life in Morocco. This program is appropriate for students in all majors, but primarily those intending to complete a bachelor's degree.
