Prerequisites PA 2.75/4.0, 2 BHC faculty recommendations Completion of 30 semester credits Proof of health insurance
Application Deadline February, 2008, but applications may be accepted until April if vacancies exist.
Academic Courses Available Students complete 7 semester hours, 3 in the Culture and Civilization of Japan and 4 in the Japanese language.
Housing Housing is in carefully selected home stays within easy transportation from campus. Students are provided the morning and evening meals.
Program Fee Approximately $3,697, but variances may exist due to currency fluctuations; $250 Black Hawk College study abroad fee.
Payment Plan The program fee will be paid prior to departure in three payments.
Included in the Program Fee Round-trip airfare from Chicago; Four-day local orientation field trip to Hiroshima, Japan; transfers to and from Osaka airport; international tuition and fees, round-trip airfare from Chicago; double-room occupancy with morning and evening meals; attractive field trips, library access; orientation; textbooks for Japanese language course

Comment This study abroad program, which is coordinated by the College of DuPage offers additional for-fee excursions in Japan. This program is appropriate for students in all majors, but primarily those intending to complete a bachelor's degree.
