Prerequisites GPA 2.75/4.0, 2 BHC faculty recommendations Completion of 30 semester credits Proof of health insurance
Application Deadline March, 2008, but applications may be accepted until April if vacancies exist.
Academic Courses Available Students complete 12 semester hours, 8 selected from a variety of courses offered in the English language and 4 in the Chinese language.
Housing Housing is in carefully selected home stays within easy transportation from campus. Some students may be housed on campus. Students are provided the morning and evening meals.
Program Fee Approximately $5,000 a semester plus $250 Black Hawk College study abroad fee.
Payment Plan The program fee will be paid prior to departure in three payments.

Comment This study abroad program, which is coordinated by the College of Lake County, is a cost-effective opportunity to experience life in China. This program is appropriate for students in all majors, but primarily those intending to complete a bachelor's degree.
