Cleaning Up Your Computer

Getting Started with Your Computer

Basic Windows Skills

Level 0 - Learn basic Microsoft Windows skills including how to identify parts of a window and how to manipulate windows and the taskbar. Use Explore My Computer to see how much space you have available on your hard drive. You will use menus, Help and Support, and the calculator, burn a CD, open a basic word processing program (WordPad), create a letter, print it and save the file.

Create a photobook, quickly and easily, using your Shutterfly account that you opened in the Sharing Photos Online class. Select beautiful backgrounds for your pages, a cover, fancy edges for your pictures and more. Please note: It is free to create a photobook on Shutterfly, but if you choose to order an actual book, there is a cost. You may upload your photos to Shutterfly prior to class or bring them on a flash drive or CD.
