Cleaning Up Your Computer

You will learn basic terminology, hardware vs. software, and the components of a computer. Become familiar with the keyboard and get acquainted with the Windows concept. You will use the Start menu, open a program, create your own poster, and print it to take home.

Level 0 - Learn basic Microsoft Windows skills including how to identify parts of a window and how to manipulate windows and the taskbar. Use Explore My Computer to see how much space you have available on your hard drive. You will use menus, Help and Support, and the calculator, burn a CD, open a basic word processing program (WordPad), create a letter, print it and save the file.

Music on Your Computer

Please note: It is free to create a photobook on Shutterfly, but if you choose to order an actual book, there is a cost. You may upload your photos to Shutterfly prior to class or bring them on a flash drive or CD.
