Miss RepresentationBlack Hawk College’s kicks off Women’s History Month with a viewing and discussion of the 2011 documentary “Miss Representation” at noon Thursday, March 20 in Building 4, second floor, Conference Rooms 1 and 2.

The film addresses how media portrayals of women may contribute to their under-representation in leadership positions in real life. “Miss Representation” features interviews with experts, actors, public figures and viewers along with clips from films, television shows and music videos.

The screening will be hosted by Melissa Hebert-Johnson, associate professor of art. The public is welcome. Light refreshments will be served.

Look for more presentations by faculty members throughout March.
