Although Black Hawk College will be closed Monday, Feb. 17 in observance of Presidents’ Day, there will be some noise coming from campus.
The BHC Police Department will test the fire and emergency alarm system at the Quad-Cities Campus and East Campus simultaneously beginning at 10 a.m.
Interior and exterior audible alarms will be activated for the testing. Numerous prerecorded messages will be broadcast around the college and may be heard off campus. Residents and passersby should not be alarmed – this is only a test.
Testing should be intermittent and last 15-20 minutes.
For more information, contact the BHC Police Department at the East Campus at 309-854-1786 or at the Quad-Cities Campus at 309-796-5913.
