Black Hawk College’s Professional and Continuing Education (PaCE), formerly known as the Business & Community Education Center (BCEC), offers a wide variety of short-term career program options that you can complete in just 10-16 weeks.

Why use Professional and Continuing Education (PaCE) for your short-term career training?

  • More than 40 years experience providing continuing education training

Short-term career programs and classes are designed to start you on your career path and/or provide you with additional skills and information for your current occupation. Re-Skilling Project Funds
Short-Term Training for Qualified Individuals
Need to re-skill for a current or new occupation but require financial assistance?
You may apply for the Re-Skilling Project funds if you:
1.         Are a resident of Rock Island County.
2.         Are laid off or work a reduced number of hours.
3.         Can show a work history of being regularly employed.
4.         Will actively seek work when training is completed.
5.         Register for pre-approved short-term training.
