Need help filling out FAFSA online?

Students can get FREE help filling out their online 2009-2010 FAFSA applications at FAFSA Friday at the Quad-Cities Campus.

FAFSA Friday is the first Friday of the month in Building 1, Room 101B (below the library) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The next sessions will be Nov. 6 and Dec. 4.

Computers also are available from 9-11 a.m. or 2:30-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday at the Quad-Cities Campus Financial Aid Office.

Come walk or run the Hawk Hustle Nov. 14 at Quad-Cities Campus

Come walk or run the rolling hills and scenic trails of the Quad-Cities Campus on Saturday, Nov. 14 in the 3rd Annual Hawk Hustle, a four-mile cross country run/walk.

The event is sponsored by the Black Hawk College Foundation, and proceeds will support fitness initiatives at the college.

Age group trophies will be awarded, and all participants are invited to an indoor post-race party courtesy of Subway.

Packet pick-up and late registration will be from 7-8:30 a.m. with the race starting at 9 a.m. Registration will be outside Building 1 at the Quad-Cities Campus, 6600 34th Ave., Moline. Participants should park in the lot off 70th Street.

The entry fee is $22 for registrations received before Tuesday, Nov. 10, and $25 for registrations received Nov. 10 through race day. The entry fee is $20 for pre-registered Cornbelt Running Club members and Black Hawk College students.

BHC traffic alert - 70th Street road construction

Drivers are asked to avoid taking 70th Street in Moline between 34th Avenue and John Deere Road from 9-10 a.m. and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. weekdays during the fall semester.

These hours are peak times that BHC students will be leaving campus via 70th Street, and the road has been reduced from four lanes to two lanes for road construction. The city of Moline anticipates the street being under construction all semester.

All on-campus road and parking lot construction projects have been completed.
