The Black Hawk College – East Campus Judging Team cordially invites you to participate in the 29th Annual BHE Livestock Judging Contest to be held Thursday, April 9, 2015, in conjunction with the NACTA event, at the iWireless Center in Moline, Illinois.
Registration is available online with check‐in available at the iWireless Lobby from 7:00 – 7:45 a.m. Please be prompt! The contest begins at 8:00 a.m.
The contest will include two divisions to run simultaneously. The reasons division will consist of ten classes: four beef, three swine, two sheep and one Boer goat doe with four sets of reasons, two beef, one swine and one sheep/goat. The questions division will include ten classes of placing with three sets of ten questions, one per beef, per swine and per sheep/goat. Performance data will be included when available.
The same teams and individuals may not compete in both the reasons and questions division. However, a school may enter teams and individuals in both divisions. A team will consist of four members with the three highest overall scores composing the team score. A team of three individuals may also compete.
All FFA team members must be current FFA Chapter members from the school they are entered. All 4‐H team members must be from the same county and currently enrolled in 4‐H and must not have completed a semester of college.
An entry fee of $100 per team will be charged in the reasons division which will cover contest expenses and the cost of a catered meal. Individuals may enter at a cost of $20.00 per contestant.
In the questions division an entry fee of $50 per team will be charged. Please note that the price of a meal is not included in the entry fee and therefore lunch will be on your own. An individual may enter at a cost of $15.00 per contestant.
