The Small Business Certificate Program has been designed for use by the small business owner or prospective business owner. These courses offer practical knowledge based on business theories presented in a friendly format and are applicable in the small business setting. This series is offered by the Black Hawk College Illinois SBDC, the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce, the Geneseo Chamber of Commerce, the Kewanee Chamber of Commerce, Kewanee Economic Development Corporation, Regional Radio Group and the village of Milan.

Learn about the world of owning your own business, the myths and realities of self employment, and your entrepreneurial potential. Discover what a business plan entails and why you need one.

9 a.m. – Financing a Small Business
This session examines the various funding sources available to finance a project. Learn how the SBDC can help you develop a successful approach to successfully acquiring a business loan.
