The Region banner has 16 Region IV titles and the Arrowhead Conference banner has 27 Arrowhead Conference titles in golf.

National Junior College Athletic Association Golf Tournament
May 19-26, 2011 – Indiana National Golf Course in Swan Lake, Indiana.

Scholarship money
Mt. Mercy, Lewis, St. Ambrose, Ashford, Concordia, Western Illinois University and other 4-year colleges offer golf scholarship money.

Academics
Spring semester of 2011, team GPA was 3.20 and Black Hawk College finished 8th in the Nation for Division II Men’s Golf. Fall semester of 2010 the golf team’s GPA was a 3.36. In spring of 2010 the golf team GPA was 3.06. I want to continue witnessing success in the classroom and am attempting to recruit quality student athletes. The big key to being a successful student is to “attend class”, “do your work”, “talk to your teachers”, and “pay attention in class”. If you can follow these “words of wisdom”, you will become a successful Student athlete.

Future
The Black Hawk College Golf Team is attempting to reload the fall of 2011 golf team with some very talented players. We are looking to fill our roster with 10 quality players. By having 10 players on the roster, it gives me an opportunity to enter 2 teams in tournaments that we participate in, in the fall. We have a number of good players who will be transferring to 4 year schools this upcoming year. I need a strong recruiting class for the fall of 2011.

Byron Hills
Byron Hills is our home golf course for the fall & spring season. Players have the luxury of calling & reserving a tee time during the week starting August 1st. Byron Hills is a privately owned & managed and they work closely with the Black Hawk Golf Program.

TPC – host site of Deere Classic
We were able to use their practice facilities as a team and players were able to use the course at a minimal cost per round. This is a great opportunity for a player, and for the group of players to use a quality facility in order to improve their skills.

Equipment
Returning players already know that I am able to get college discounts rates for Callaway, Titleist, Footjoy, Acushnet, Cleveland, & a few other companies.

The best way to contact me is by e-mail. My e-mail is huberg@bhc.edu. My phone number is 309-796-5602. Leave a message if I am not in the office and I will return your phone call. Thank you for your time.
