How can I volunteer?
Volunteers are needed to help adults needing assistance in achieving functional skills in reading, spelling, writing, arithmetic or English as a Second Language. The LIFE Program was created to provide a second chance to adults who have not yet attained their desired or needed literacy level. To become a volunteer tutor, call 309-796-5702

LIFE provides training sessions and then matches tutors with students based upon available times, tutoring site locations and learning/teaching styles.

More than 100 sites – including libraries, churches and community centers – have been established in the various communities within Black Hawk College service area.
