Annual Expenses
The amounts below represent the minimum estimated expenses for each student for one year at Black Hawk College. This budget does not allow for luxuries and sponsors will want to provide for more money, if possible.

| BOOKS AND SUPPLIES | $ 1,000 |
| CLOTHING AND PERSONAL NECESSITIES | $ 1,200 |
| HOUSING | $ 5,100 |

| MEDICAL INSURANCE | $ 700 |
| LOCAL TRANSPORTATION | $ 1,000 |
| ANNUAL TOTAL | $16,196 |
A student who is provided with free room and board by a relative or close friend living near the school will not need money for housing or utilities, and will require cash for lunches only on school days. Therefore, a student who presents an affidavit of free room and board will need only $9096.00 in cash support. Free room and board has a cash value of $7,100.00.
Students planning to bring a husband, wife, child, or children in F-2 status, or who have F-2 family with them in the U.S. now must show an additional $4,000 per year to support the spouse and $2,500 per year for each child.
