Foreign students must submit the Application for Admission and records of their previous schooling to the office of the International Student & Scholar Program. Everyone who wishes to become an international student at Black Hawk College must complete an International Application for Admission packet.
Once you have been accepted (admitted) as a student to Black Hawk College, you may apply for the Form I-20 or DS-2019, which is required to obtain a visa to enter the United States. Please click here for information on filling out the Form I-20 or DS-2019.
Deadlines
The deadline is the date by which we must have all required documents in hand. If your paperwork reaches us after the deadline, we will process your application for the next term. (For example, if your papers reach us in May, we will process your papers for the next spring semester, rather than the fall.)
Students are not allowed to enter late but must report to Black Hawk College on or before the date stated in the I-20 as reporting date or stated in the DS-2019 as the beginning of orientation.
Application for Admission as a student and for the form I-20 or DS-2019:
For entry in the Fall Semester (mid-August): April 1st
For entry in the Spring Semester (early January): October 1st
For entry in the Summer term (early June): February 1st
