Tuition billing statement
You are responsible to pay any charges by due dates, whether or not a bill is received. We will attempt to bill you for tuition and fee charges prior to payment due dates. If you register near or after the published due date, it may not be possible. You will not be mailed a bill during Last-Minute Enrollment because payment is due at the time you register.
Check your myBlackHawk account: Account Summary by Term for your Tuition Billing Statement to view your tuition and fee charges.
Scholarship and financial assistance
You are able to apply for financial aid with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This money can be used to pay for English as a Second Language classes. If you do not get financial aid, you can apply for a scholarship from the Black Hawk College Foundation. These scholarships are $100 to $150 and are given on a semester-by-semester basis.
International Student Achievement Award
If you have been a good student in your country, you should apply for our International Student Achievement Award when you finish your application. You will get three credit hours ($594) of tuition free of charge. You can keep this scholarship as long as you maintain a 2.5 (C+) grade point average.
