The Orientation Program is designed to enhance students’ transition to, connection with, and understanding of Black Hawk College’s community. Our mission is to empower students to develop holistically by building a foundation for their successes through the orientation program.
New Student Orientation
New Student Orientation introduces students to programs of study, educational planning, support services, and college processes and procedures. The orientation should be completed right after the application for admissions has been processed. Complete the New Student Orientation (which is delivered in an online format) by logging into your myBlackHawk student account and clicking on the New Student Orientation icon.
On-campus orientations provide students the opportunity to develop a sense of community through peer networking, introducing students to engagement opportunities both inside and outside the classroom, and detailing strategies for a successful transition to the college environment. On-campus orientations are typically hosted the week before to the start of each academic semester. Registration for the on-campus session of your choice is located below.
