After your tuition, fees, and books are deducted from your financial aid, you may have excess refund money. All refunds are processed through the Black Hawk College ID & Money Card. Refunds are deposited to the BHC Money Card or to your personal bank account. If you choose not to apply or do not activate your BHC College ID & Money Card, your financial aid refund will be mailed three to four weeks after the refund date.
All refunds will be processed though the BHC College ID & Money Card.

Drops and Return of Federal Financial Aid Policy
Financial aid is based on attendance for the entire semester. The law specifies how a school must determine the amount of federal aid that you earn if you withdraw from school. When you drop all of your classes during the semester, the amount of aid that you have earned up to that point is determined by a pro-rated formula. For example, if you completed 30% of the semester, you earn 30% of the aid. You will be billed for the portion of aid based on the last date of academic activity.
If you never attend a course, your aid will be reduced based on the corrected enrollment hours. You will be billed for the overpayment of aid as well as the tuition charges for the course(s). If you register for classes and do not plan on attending, you are responsible for completing an add/drop form.
