New Student Advising and Registration Sessions (NewSTARS):

New college students will lay their path for success in NewSTARS. Topics include myBlackHawk skills, course load and time commitments, and academic and financial aid policies. Students combine their placement assessment scores with their academic program requirements, register for classes, and receive details on post-registration steps. Students are introduced to advising staff and their potential classmates.
|New students starting college in January 2016 are
required to complete NewSTARS before registering.

Plan your transfer to St. Ambrose University or Western Illinois University by meeting with a university admissions advisor. SAU and WIU advisors will be in the Quad Cities campus Advising Center to answer your questions and explain transfer requirements.
Meetings are by appointment. Please contact the Advising Center at 309-796-5101 or ADVQC@bhc.edu. Set a 30-minute appointment between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. (Appointments after 2 p.m. may be available upon request.)
