Purpose: The Science Resources Lab exists to assist students in learning the concepts of the sciences through one on one or small group interaction with faculty or a tutor and the use of computers as well as other technologies and materials. The Lab also supports required class assignments and projects. Non-science computer use is available most of the time and the room is also usually a quiet place to study.
2-210 is ideally located for its purpose- to be of help to science students. It is close to the science labs and prep rooms. If a student needs something that is not in the Science Resources Lab but is available in a science lab, we can get it for them if it is not already in use.
Location: The Science Resources Lab is located in Building 2, Room 210 on the Quad Cities Campus.
Materials: The Science Resources Lab has, but is not limited to, the following material and equipment: computers (Windows XP), printers, VCRs, laser disk players, microscopes and slides, rocks and minerals, human bones, dissection specimens, charts and models. Internet access is available.

Copies of the schedule are available at the desk by the door in 2-210. Many Natural Science and Engineering Faculty donate an office hour to be available in the lab. Tutors are advanced students or in one case a retired faculty member. Faculty/Tutors have expertise in an area or areas of science. Faculty/Tutors are in the lab to help students with equipment and concepts within their area of expertise. Students are helped on a first come, first served basis.
